Schuler-Haas

We partnered with Schuler-Haas to create two videos that would elevate their brand presence and clarify the inner workings of their prefabrication department. The result: a website-ready aerial visual and a documentary-style feature that's helped with recruitment, conferences, and internal training.

The Challenge:

Schuler-Haas came to us with a tight window and a lot to communicate. Their goals:

  • Showcase the scale and professionalism of their solar installations

  • Explain the logic and value behind their prefabrication process

We needed to learn fast and shoot smarter.

Our Approach:

To tell the right story, we first had to understand their operations. We met with their team, asked the right questions, and distilled complex workflows into digestible visuals.

On the production side, we identified technical issues early—like the green hue cast from overhead lighting—and adjusted our lighting design on-site to maintain consistency and quality.

PRODUCTION TIMELINE

DAY 1

Objective: Capture striking aerial visuals of Schuler-Haas’s solar installations
We used drone cinematography to showcase the scale, precision, and clean aesthetics of their solar work. These shots were designed to make an immediate impact on their website and visually anchor the brand’s presence online.

DAY 2

Objective: Humanize the prefab story through on-camera voices
We conducted sit-down interviews with key team members to capture insights, explain processes, and add narrative texture to the prefabrication video. We focused on clarity, tone, and creating an environment where subjects felt natural and confident.

DAY 3

Objective: Film the day-to-day action inside the prefabrication facility
We filmed detailed process shots, tool work, team collaboration, and equipment operation. Lighting challenges in the space required us to rethink our setup on the spot—adjusting for color consistency and visual clarity without disrupting their workflow.

WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT US:

This project reflects the way we like to work: hands-on, curious, and collaborative. We don’t approach any job with a one-size-fits-all mindset. Instead, we take the time to learn the landscape—who the client is, what their priorities are, and how we can help them communicate that visually in a way that’s both effective and honest.

We’re not just here to point cameras—we’re here to make decisions that align with your goals. That means understanding your audience, asking the right questions, and knowing when to lead and when to listen. Every creative and technical choice we make is shaped by that deeper understanding.

When challenges arise, we don’t panic—we pivot. Whether it’s adjusting to unpredictable lighting environments, reorganizing our schedule to meet tight deadlines, or rethinking how a process is best shown on screen, we approach problems with flexibility and focus. For Schuler-Haas, that meant recognizing early how the shop’s overhead lighting would impact the look of the footage and building a solution that maintained the visual standard we’re known for—without disrupting their operations.

At the end of the day, our goal is simple: help clients tell stories that not only look great but actually work. Stories that clarify, connect, and create value—internally and externally. For us, this project wasn’t just about producing content. It was about helping a respected company like Schuler-Haas put its best foot forward, in a way that’s true to who they are.
